No Kings Demonstrators Share Hopes for Opposition Campaign: 'If We Lose Momentum, We Forfeit the Battle'

This weekend's massive No Kings demonstrations attracted countless participants to streets throughout all 50 states, representing the latest display of opposition against the sitting government during an continuing government shutdown. Many participants are currently planning their next moves.

Some described the ongoing rallies as a sign of vibrant civil resistance against heavy-handed policies that have challenged constitutional norms. Conversations also included economic boycotts and work stoppages.

Different participants voiced worry that additional citizens would need to experience personal consequences to catalyze meaningful change. "In my view we must witness the demise before improvement can happen, unfortunately, but we're here to stop that from taking place," stated one mid-thirties attendee from Oklahoma.
